Apartment leases are now available at Hotel Clovis Lofts, according to an advertisement in the Clovis News Journal.
A woman answering a phone number listed in the ad said she was directed not to provide any information about the apartments to the media and all questions regarding the project were to be directed to owner Steve Crozier, who did not respond to messages for interviews.
Construction work on the Hotel Clovis, right, and Building B is ongoing, while Building A has apartments available for rent as part of the Hotel Clovis Lofts.
An advertisement for the apartments notes several amenities upon project completion, including on-site daycare, a gym, a computer lab, a playground and a community space with a full kitchen for resident gatherings. Apartment features include washer/dryer hookups, dishwashers and energy-efficient appliances.
Crozier, owner of project developer Tierra Realty Trust of Taos, previously said the new Hotel Clovis will consist of 31 loft-style apartments on floors three through nine of the main building, 29 similar units in new adjacent structures, and 8,000 square feet of commercial space.
Most of the estimated $12.8 million project cost is backed by $10.5 million worth of federal tax credits Crozier has been allotted by the state's mortgage finance authority.
The project is expected to completed by the end of the year.
