The Clovis Police Department Patrol and Special Operations Unit have been busy arresting burglars over the past couple of weeks.
On Sunday, 06/16/2013, at about 1:00 am in the morning a Clovis Police Officer on patrol observed a male subject, Quinn Ransom, 47 years of age, breaking into a vehicle at No Hassle Auto, 1800 block of W. 7th St. The investigation lead to Ransom being charges with four counts of Auto Burglary, two counts of Larceny, seven counts of Criminal Damage, three counts of Attempted Auto Burglary, and Possession of Burglary Tools. Ransom was booked in to the Curry County Adult Detention Center.
On Sunday, 06/23/2013, at about 4:30 am in the morning Officers with the Clovis Police Department responded to a suspicious subject call in the area of the 1700 block of Imperial Court. When the Officers arrived in the area two 15 year old juvenile males were located on bicycles. The two subjects admitting to three Auto Burglaries and the theft of the two bicycles. Two of the Burglaries were in the 1700 block of Imperial Ct. and the third was on Winsor Way. They admitted taking the bicycle from the 3200 block of Gidding St. The two juveniles were booked in to the Curry County Juvenile Detention Center.
On Wednesday, 06/26/2013, at about 4:00 am in the morning Officers with the Clovis Police Department responded to the Clovis Christian School in the 900 block of Calhoun for a possible Burglary in progress. The investigation lead to the arrest of two male subjects. Lonnie Clark, 23 years of age, was charged with Commercial Burglary, Conspiracy to commit Burglary, Larceny, and Criminal Damage. Lorenzo Medina, 36 years of age, was charged with Commercial Burglary, Conspiracy to commit Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage, and Retaining Stolen Property. Both men were booked in to the Curry County Adult Detention Center.
On Wednesday, 06/26/2013, at about 9:00 pm in the evening Officers with the Clovis Police Department were dispatched to Clovis Cycle and RV in the 400 block of East First St. for an alarm activation. Upon arrival Officers witnessed a male scaling a chain link fence and take off running. The Officers apprehended the suspect identified as Fabian Martinez, 19 years of age. The Martinez was charged with Commercial Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of Methamphetamine, Criminal Damage, and Resisting, Evading, or Obstructing an Officer. Martinez was booked into the Curry County Adult Detention Center.
