Clovis Community College
The Clovis Community College Board of Trustees met Wednesday in Room 512 at the college and took the following action:
• Members approved academic calendars for fall 2014, spring 2015 and summer 2015.
• Members heard an update on the TRiO Student Support Services program.
The federally funded educational opportunity outreach program is designed to motivate, retain, graduate and transfer students who are low income, first generation or disabled.
• Approved a professional services contract with Evisions for online reporting software.
The software will cost $108,000 and will be paid for through the college’s Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training grant.
• Heard an update from President Becky Rowley regarding the New Mexico Higher Education Department’s outcomes-based funding formula.
Rowley said the school is likely to see about a 2 percent increase in state funding over last year.
The next Board of Trustees meeting will be held Feb. 5 in Room 512 at the college.
