Truck, no angel tree at Walmart

CNJ staff

Instead of having an Angel Tree at Walmart this year, Salvation Army will have a truck stationed at the store Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and volunteers will hand out Angel tags requesting specific donations for families in need of a little extra help this holiday season.

Shoppers can pick up gifts and drop them off at the truck outside or in the bins located inside Walmart.

The Salvation Army also has Angel Trees stationed at Hastings, North Plains Mall and St. Clair Orthodontics in Clovis.

Salvation Army has chosen 220 families to help this season, according to Major Jim Gallop, and donations will directly benefit those families.
