Man sentenced for meth trafficking

A Clovis man plead guilty Thursday and was sentenced on two counts of trafficking controlled substances, according to a release from the district attorney’s office.

Robert Charles Urioste, 51, will serve 13 years in prison and be placed on intensive supervised probation for five years upon release.

According to the release, Urioste sold methamphetamine to undercover officers on two separate occasions in December 2012 during an operation by the Region V Drug Task Force. He has been in custody since his arrest in March.
