Junior rodeo stays in Clovis


The Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce announced that Clovis has been awarded the contract to host the High Plains Junior Rodeo Association Junior Rodeo Finals through 2017 at the Curry County Events Center.

This year’s event will be held July 15-19 at the events center.

The HPJRA is a youth rodeo association represented by boys and girls 19 years of age and younger from throughout the Southwest. The organization was founded in 1974 and will celebrate 40 years this year. It is comprised of more than 250 members from Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
