This is the fourth of a five-part series on Eastern New Mexico University’s College National Finals Rodeo qualifiers, scheduled to run through the rest of the week. The CNFR begins on Monday and runs through next Saturday at Casper, Wyo.

How did you get started in rodeo?
I grew up rodeoing, my parents rodeoed and I really don’t remember a time when I didn’t. When I was 4 years old I entered my first rodeo.
What most appeals to you about the sport?
I love my rodeo family. The best part of rodeo is that you are surrounded by people who would give you the shirt off their back. You’re toughest competition is also you’re biggest fan.
What types of things to you enjoy doing away from rodeo?
I enjoy training colts and reading.
What is your most memorable rodeo experience?
My most memorable rodeo moment was in 2007 when I won the National Junior High division all around and Paxton, my sister, was second.
What are your plans after graduation from college?
I plan on getting my Bachelor’s in history with a minor in biology, and then getting my Master’s in education so I can teach either history or biology.
