Preschool screening clinics offered
Grady Schools will be one of four sites for Child Find preschool screening clinics.
The free clinic, scheduled for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. April 5, is for children five and younger.
A representative from Eastern New Mexico Rehabilitative Services for the Handicap and Clovis Multicultural Evaluation and Consultation Associates Therapies will be present at each clinic. The clinic serves to locate, identify and refer young children with disabilities and their families in need of special programs or education.

New financial officer hired
Debbie Zurzolo started Monday as the new chief financial officer of Clovis Community College.
The position has been vacant since Theresa Fox left in April 2011.
Zurzolo has more than 20 years of financial management experience.
Student, instructor artwork to be featured
The artwork of three Clovis Community College students and one instructor will be featured in the third annual Eastern New Mexico University Juried Youth Art Exhibition.
Artwork by Annette Johnson, Steve Clements, Cheyenne Martin and instructor Carolyn Lindsey was chosen out of more than 150 submissions.
Award winners will be announced March 30 in the Runnels Gallery at ENMU.
Local students attend tournament
Students from the Arts Academy at Bella Vista, James Bickley, Lockwood and Ranchvale Elementary Schools attended the New Mexico State Destination Imagination Tournament on March 10.
At the tournament teams of three to seven students choose to solve one of different challenges and present their solutions.
The three first place teams are eligible to compete at the Global Finals Tournament in May in Knoxville, Tenn.
CCC to hold meeting on security
Clovis Community College will hold a town hall meeting on computer security 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. March 29 at CCC.
The meeting will provide information on dealing with hackers, viruses, spyware, trojan horses, firewalls and more.
Admission is $15 and includes a CD copy of the presentation, security software and computer maintenance tips.
The deadline to register is Tuesday.

Tax filing assistance offered
Clovis Community College is providing free assistance with filing taxes through April 5:
Here's the schedule:
• Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
• 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Jackson Family Center.
Those interested will need all necessary tax information and documentation such as W2s, a valid form of identification and a valid social security card.

Udall accepting military nominations
The office of U.S. Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., is accepting applications for nominations to U.S. military service academies for the class of 2017.
To complete an application visit tomudall.senate.gov and search for academy nominations. Applications can be submitted online.
