ENMU newsletter takes top honors

Eastern New Mexico University’s Monday Memo won first place in the nation in the category of Electronic Newsletters in a competition by the National Federation of Press Women.

The Monday Memo is a weekly newsletter at ENMU featuring news, features, photos, videos and sideshows.

Director of Media Relations Wendel Sloan is the Monday Memo editor and Graduate Assistant Robin Haislett is the assistant editor.

Haislett won second place in Photography on the Web.

Awards will be presented at the NFPW Conference in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Sept. 8-10.

ENMU Children’s Choir performing Friday

Eastern New Mexico University will host the ENMU Children’s Choir noon Friday in Buchanan Hall in the music building, according to a news release.

The performance is the final result of a week-long choir camp for children in third through eighth grade. The performance is free and open to the public.
