Farm Credit of New Mexico names new manager

Brett Valentine has been named the new branch manager for Clovis’ Farm Credit of New Mexico office. Wednesday was his first day in the position.

Valentine, who has been with the company since 1997, was serving as assistant branch manager and as vice president, a title he held since 2006.

He succeeds Cary Crist, who was recently promoted to eastern regional manager.

Farm Credit of New Mexico is a full service agricultural lender for state farmers and ranchers.

 

De Baca expands services

De Baca Family Practice Clinic has expanded its mental health department to include an intensive outpatient program for alcohol and drug abuse.

Rhonda Gutierrez, a licensed mental health counselor, joined the clinic in mid-January and began seeing patients at the Fikany Annex in February.

The 16-week program, known as the Matrix Model, incorporates early recovery, relapse prevention and family education components.

The annex also hosts Alcoholics Anonymous meetings 7 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
