WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman on Tuesday will hold an Energy and Natural Resources Committee meeting to consider pending nominations.
The Energy Committee will vote on the nominations of James Markowsky to be assistant secretary of Energy (Fossil Energy); Warren Miller Jr. to be assistant secretary of Energy (Nuclear Energy) and director of the Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management; Anthony Babauta to be assistant secretary of the Interior (Insular Areas); and Jonathan Jarvis to be director of the National Park Service, Department of the Interior.
On Thursday, Bingaman will hold an Energy Committee hearing on the nominations of John Norris to be a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; Jose Antonio Garcia to be director of the Office of Minority Economic Impact, Department of Energy; and Joseph Pizarchik to be director of the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement, Department of the Interior.
On the floor this week, the Senate will resume consideration of the fiscal year 2010 Agriculture Appropriations bill.

Bingaman will take part in a hearing to examine climate change legislation, focusing on allowance and revenue distribution.
• Energy and Natural Resources Committee Meeting
