LUBBOCK — Kyle Harris won the triple-jump with a school-record jump of 49 feet and 10 1/2 inches, leading the Eastern New Mexico University track squad Friday at Linda Fuller Track and Field Complex at Texas Tech University.
Harris’ jump was ruled as wind-aided and did not qualify for the NCAA national meet.
Other ENMU high finishers included Richard Kogo (fifth, 5,000-meter, 15:35.82), Josh Browning (school-record 22.29 in the 200 meters for 19th place) and Chenavia Ruffin (school-record 1:00.69 in the 400 meters for 13th place).
The team is back in action Saturday in Albuquerque for the University of New Mexico Tailwind Invitational.
