Towne continued his pursuit of the LSC single-season home run record last week, hitting four at Central Oklahoma to give him 18 for the year — five behind the mark of 23 by UCO’s Ray Danzy in 2002. In five games, the Division II home run and RBI leader went 9-for-18, including three doubles, eight runs and 14 RBIs.
Garrett Cook, Eastern New Mexico, Jr. SS, Deming — Cook went 10-for-22 over five games, including three multi-hit outings highlighted by a 4-for-4 performance with two doubles, a triple, three runs and two RBIs in a 9-8 win over Abilene Christian.

Betrian tossed a five-hit shutout against Southeastern Oklahoma in the first game of their series, striking out six and walking two to improve to 3-1 for the season with a 1.59 ERA over 22 2/3 innings.
Jerry Manning, Eastern New Mexico, Jr. RHP, Cypress, Texas — Manning earned a win and a save in three appearances against Abilene Christian, allowing four hits and one earned run over 3 1/3 innings.
