"President Obama and the 111th Congress have inherited a difficult economic situation from the Bush Administration. Today, President Obama released the first honest budget we have seen in many years, reflecting the realities of our economic troubles. President Obama has outlined a clear and responsible plan that makes critical investments in our economic future and begins to fix our economic ills. The President’s budget makes bold investments to end our dependence on foreign oil, create clean energy jobs, bring down the high cost of health care, and provide our children with educational opportunities that will allow them to compete in a 21^st century economy. I look forward to working with President Obama to get our economy back on track, create clean energy jobs, provide health care for Americans and expand educational opportunities for our children."
