The Master’s Center will host a Word and Power Conference in the conference room Feb. 21. for men and women ages 13 and up.

The deadline to register is Feb. 16.

The conference will cover heaven, angels and healing training, activation and ministry.

First Church of God welcomed a new pastor on Jan. 11.

Pastor David Stevens came from Columbus, Ohio and has been a pastor for 17 years.

Stevens visited Clovis to host a special service and Bible study for the church and the church members invited him to become their pastor.

Stevens graduated from Canterbury Bible College with a bachelors degree in divinity and Bible studies. He is a chaplain at Plains Regional Medical Center and the Curry County Adult Detention Center.

First Baptist Church of God on 21st Street has about 35 members.
