A teen was arrested Friday, charged with extreme cruelty to animals after he shot a cat, police said.
Police Capt. Patrick Whitney said the 18-year-old male and two juveniles took a cat to Ned Houk Park, tied it up and shot it with a .22 rifle.
Whitney said a report on the incident has not been filed yet and the investigation is continuing.
