lighthearted wisdom gems
from the internet

sammy salamander was teaching
me how to surf the internet the
other day boss some of what we
discovered was alarming –
especially when we found the peta site – what they claim humans do to animals is beastly – but we also found some
comforting sites with bible
devotionals at gospelcom.net
and crosswalk.com and
upperroom.org

however we also found some
humorous truths on the internet
as well boss one item that
someone emailed to me was entitled  great truths that little children and baby animals have learned

for example – no matter how
hard you try you can t baptize cats parenthesis here boss – but it might be worthwhile to try –
parenthesis end – just a little
mousey comment boss

another one — when your mom
is mad at your dad, don't let her
brush your hair

this one applies to human and
animal families — if your sister
hits you, don't hit her back they
always catch the second person

never ask a three-year-old
to hold a tomato
you can t trust dogs or little pigs
to watch your food

above all never sneeze when
someone is cutting your hair

never hold a dustbuster and a
cat at the same time
parenthesis again – but it s okay
to chase a cat with a dustbuster

you can t hide a piece of broccoli
in a glass of milk

another one says — don t wear
polka-dot underwear under white shorts – but i don t know any
animal friends of mine who
do that boss

the best place to be when you re
sad is grandmother s lap or
nestled in the love of jesus

            amos

p s – by the way boss there are
a few truths learned by adults
as well

for example – wrinkles don t hurt

families are like fudge – mostly
sweet with a few nuts

here s a good one – today s mighty
oak is just yesterday s nut that
held its ground

or how about this one —
laughing is good exercise
it s like jogging on the inside

may you have a happy jog today
