Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
About 6 a.m. Jan. 15 an officer responded to a report of criminal damage at a business in the 2000 block of Main Street.
The owner said when he arrived he found the soda machine outside lying on the ground and graffiti on the side of the building.
Damage to the soda machine was estimated around $2,000.
About 10 a.m. Jan. 15 an officer responded to a report of a subject passed out in a vehicle at a business on Prince Street.
When the officer arrived, he saw ambulance personnel on scene, and saw the described vehicle back out and leave the parking lot.
The ambulance personnel told the officer they woke the man and he told them he was fine and wanted to leave.
The officer followed the man’s vehicle and came across it parked with the man walking away from it.
The officer discovered the man’s driving privileges had been revoked and arrested him.
About 5 p.m. Jan 15 an officer responded to the 1400 block of Ross Street for a battery victim.
A man said while driving by he saw a man lying on the ground and when he stopped to check on him he found the man unconscious and bleeding.
The officer noted the man was bleeding from the bridge of his nose and appeared disoriented.
The officer spoke to the man’s roommate, who told him he watched from the window of their residence as two males stopped their vehicle and attacked his 43-year-old roommate and left him unconscious on the ground.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment but later told the officer he couldn’t remember details of the attack.
About 1 p.m. Jan. 15 an officer responded to a business in the 900 block of Prince Street for a vehicle crash.
An employee told the officer a man driving through the parking lot hit the air pump and left his vehicle.
The officer noted the vehicle was still running and showed moderate damage.
The vehicle was towed. The driver could not be identified at the scene.
