Morrow
Robert Morrow was a soldier in the North Carolina Line during the American Revolution in a regiment commanded by Col. Alexander Martin. After completing his service under Martin, he was a volunteer serving under Gen. Nathaniel Greene. He was employed by Greene to carry dispatches prior to the battle of Guilford Courthouse. Robert was in that battle in March of 1781.
Robert married Elizabeth Shaw in Nov. 1779, in Guilford County, N.C. Around 1810, he received bounty land for his service and moved his family to Warren County Tenn.
Robert Morrow died March 18, 1824, in Warren County.
