Yucca Telecom Internet service was restored to Roosevelt County residents just before 2 p.m. Tuesday after a cut cable in Lubbock in the morning caused more than 3,000 customers to lose their Internet service, according to technician Bob Turnbough.
Turnbough said there could be flickers of service, “but if there is they should be short-lived.”
The outage came just after 9 a.m., cutting off Internet service to all local Yucca Telecom customers and customers of Internet service provider PVT, he said.
Portales Municipal Schools and, “a nice chunk of businesses in the community,” have Yucca internet services he said, though some businesses may have a back-up provider.
