So far, according to the release, individuals, business owners and corporations have donated or pledged $401,404 to United Way. That’s 64 percent of the $627,000 community-wide goal.
The Roosevelt County goal is $90,000, and $66,749 has been raised, according to the release. For Curry County, the target is $537,000 and $334,655 has been raised.
According to the release, United Way is hoping to receive pledges from more than 200 businesses and individuals who gave last year but who haven’t donated yet this year.

United Way is still gathering pledges and donations from loyal donors and new givers alike.
“Every gift, large or small, is very important,” the news release said.
