A 21-year-old Clovis man was arrested Thursday in connection with a substantial drug seizure, Curry County Undersheriff Wesley Waller said.

Brent Roaf is being held on $16,500 bond, jail officials said.

Around 9 p.m. a deputy serving a subpoena at an apartment in the 2900 block of Main Street smelled burning marijuana and contacted the Region V Drug Task Force, Waller said.

Task force agents discovered marijuana, cocaine and illegal prescription drugs in the residence. The items were packaged for distribution, Waller said.

Waller said the amount of drugs seized was not readily available but he termed it a substantial amount.

Roaf is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, distribution of marijuana, and possession of dangerous drugs.
