One man was hospitalized Wednesday night after being shot in the torso.

Anthony Gallegos, 32, was flown to a Lubbock hospital for treatment, according to a news release from the Clovis Police Department. He was listed in stable condition.

Two men were arrested in connection with the shooting. Dwain West, 23, and Lavodrick Hogues, 22, are being held at Curry County Adult Detention Center, the release said.

The incident was reported about 6:40 p.m. when police were called to the 1000 block of Rencher Street.
