A detention transport vehicle with the Curry County sheriff’s office was involved in a minor crash Monday in Texico, according to Undersheriff Wesley Waller.
Around noon, an officer transporting a prisoner from Parmer County to Curry County was struck by a vehicle that ran a stop sign near the intersection of College Street and U.S. 60/84, Waller said.
Waller said the female inmate was treated at the scene for minor injuries and transported back to Parmer County.
There were no other injuries, he said.
Waller said state police were called to investigate the crash.
