Two men were arrested Sunday after Curry County sheriff’s deputies and members of the Region V Drug Task Force discovered ecstasy in a vehicle the suspects were driving, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

John Hall, 21, of Texico and Christopher Crook, 20, of Clovis, were stopped on their way to Clovis around 11 p.m., the release said.

A search of their vehicle revealed 111 ecstasy pills valued around $3,000.

They are being held on $35,000 cash only bond, the release said.

Christopher Crook is the grandson of state Rep. Anna Crook.

Tuesday evening, Anna Crook declined to comment on the arrest.

Crook is seeking re-election and is running against Mario Trujillo as the District 64 representative.
