ABILENE, Texas — Abilene Christian squeezed into the Lone Star Conference women’s soccer postseason tournament on Sunday, edging Eastern New Mexico University 1-0 in the LSC and regular-season finale for both teams.

The Wildcats (9-7-2, 5-4-1 LSC)  earned the No. 5 seed in the six-team event, hosted in Canyon, Texas, by LSC champion West Texas A&M.

ACU will face fourth-seeded Central Oklahoma in a first-round match on Thursday.

Abilene Christian’s Katie Miller scored her first goal of the season from about 30 yards out on the right side with 17 minutes left in the match. The Zias (9-10, 3-7) couldn’t score despite having the better of it for much of the first half with five shots on goal and a 5-0 edge in corner kicks.

Freshman goalkeeper Sierra Cardenas racked up eight saves for ENMU.
