Friday is the deadline to nominate an outstanding education graduate for Eastern New Mexico University's Hall of Honors.

Nominees should be ENMU alumni with distinguished careers as teachers, school administrators or counselors.

Tucumcari is gearing up for its Mother Road Rally on June 15.

Quay County Sun staff members are putting together their annual Route 66 special section, helping introduce visitors to the city.

The special section will be inserted into the June 11 issue of the newspaper.

If you're headed that way anyway anytime soon ... gas prices in Farwell are about 15 cents per gallon cheaper than at most Clovis stations.

On Sunday evening, the Farwell Allsup's station was doing brisk business with regular unleaded going for $3.799 per gallon. The average price in Clovis was at $3.949.
