A Clovis man arrested earlier this week for a bank robbery was sentenced Friday to 21 years in prison for the armed robbery of K’s Oriental Food Store, according to a press release from the district attorney’s office.
Frank Lasky IV, 22, will be required to serve 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole, the release said.
In August 2006, Lasky entered the store with a handgun and demanded money. After the clerk gave him about $300, he demanded her purse. He fired two shots in the store before running from the scene, the release said.
In December, Lasky was convicted of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault with intent to commit a violent felony, one count of felon in possession of a firearm and criminal damage.
Lasky is also facing charges he used a fake bomb to rob the New Mexico Bank & Trust in Hilltop Plaza in July 2006.
