Clovis Police have today arrested 22-year-old Frank Lasky on an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery and Facsimile Or Hoax Bomb Or Explosive felony charges stemming from the July 14, 2006 Bank Robbery of the New Mexico Bank And Trust at 2200 North Main Street in Hilltop Plaza in Clovis in which a hoax bomb device was used. The investigation included assistance from the 9th Judicial District Major Crimes Unit and 9th Judicial District Attorney Office, New Mexico State Police and the Roswell Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Mr. Lasky was previously charged and convicted for the Armed Robbery of a Korean Grocery Store in Clovis that had occurred on August 24, 2006, just a month after the bank robbery had occurred. Mr. Lasky is due to be sentenced in court for this conviction of Armed Robbery in the Korean Grocery Store Robbery on Thursday of this week. Mr. Lasky is currently being held at the Curry County Adult Detention Center in Clovis where he was served with this arrest warrant involving the bank robbery.
