Fort Sumner—State Police have arrested a 23 year old man for multiple charges related to sexual activity with young girls age 13- 16. 
 
Phillip Delgadillo (8/3/84) of Fort Sumner has been charged with 13 counts of criminal sexual penetration of a minor, attempted sexual penetration of a minor, enticement of a child, kidnapping/abduction, intimidation of a witness and other related offences.
 
Delgadillo has been accused of engaging in these crimes with young girls in the Fort Sumner area over the past year.  State Police were notified by school personnel who became concerned when they learned about stories of criminal sexual activity.  School officials called the State Police on March 21st, 2008.  During the investigation, State Police have identified several 8th grade victims.
 
The victims were lured into Delgadillo’s car, and in some cases their own homes, where he asked for or had sex with girls between 13 and 16 years old.  The 23 year old gas station laborer would take the girls “cruising” and engage in criminal sexual penetration of a minor in the backseat. 
 
Delgadillo was booked into Guadalupe County Detention Center on these charges and is currently being held in the De Baca County facility.
