Registered Democrats in New Mexico can now request absentee ballots for the Feb. 5, 2008, presidential preference caucus, according to a news release. The request form is available by mail, fax, e-mail or download at: DPNM Headquarters, Attn.: Absentee Ballot Request Form, 1301 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110; (505)830-3650 (phone); (505)830-3645 (fax); or www.nmdemocrats.org. The Democratic Party of New Mexico will begin sending out absentee ballots on Jan. 12, 2008. Requests for absentee ballots will be accepted until 5 p.m. Jan. 21, 2008, according to the news release. To be eligible to vote in the Feb. 5 caucus, voters must be registered as Democrats no later than Jan. 4, 2008.
