Curry County is taking applications from residents interested in serving on the County Centennial Committee. The county will be 100 years old in 2009, and committee members will help plan a year-long celebration. The committee will have about 13 members. Curry County officials are seeking one resident from each of the five county commission districts to serve on the committee. Curry County also is taking applications from residents interested in serving on the Revenue Enhancement Committee. This committee will study ways to enhance county revenue. Applications are available at the county administration office or by calling 763-6016. Applications of interest should be submitted to County Manager Lance A. Pyle before 5 p.m. Jan 25, 2008, at the county administration office in the courthouse.
