Notes: The Greyhounds beat Highlands 86-67 on Nov. 20 at Greyhound Arena. Since then, they’ve lost six in a row, although they pushed Central Oklahoma (8-2) hard in their last outing on Dec. 8, an 80-79 setback at Edmond, Okla. … Senior F Kendall Clark led the Hounds in the earlier meeting against the Cowboys with a career-high 25 points, while senior P Billy Delano scored 20 for NMHU. … Highlands, which lost at home on Friday to Rocky Mountain Athletic Confernece foe Colorado School of Mines 76-63, has dropped 16 in a row since a 71-63 RMAC win at Western State College on Jan. 30. … The Cowboys are being outscored 88-63 per game this season. … Stephen Shanks, a 6-4 senior G, leads the team in scoring (13.1 ppg), followed by Delano (10.1). Shanks is also the leading rebounder (6.9). … After Monday, the Hounds’ next outing is Dec. 30 at Lubbock Christian.

Notes: The Zias’ lone win came in the earlier matchup against the Cowgirls 74-62 at Greyhound Arena. Since then, they’ve dropped five straight. … Freshman F Til-Lois Fifer led ENMU in that one with 16 points, while sophomore G Jessica Armijo scored 20 for the Cowgirls. ENMU led 45-25 at halftime. … Highlands lost at home to Colorado School of Mines 75-70 on Friday, extending its losing streak to 27 games. The Cowgirls’ only win in 2006-07 (1-25) came at home on Dec. 6 at the expense of RMAC foe Chadron State (71-64). … Armijo leads Highlands for the season (15.0 ppg) while senior G Delischa Utsey, who had 23 against Chadron, is second in scoring (14.0). Utsey was injured and did not play in the game at Portales. … The Cowgirls are being outscored 79-52 on average, but have lost their last two by a total of eight points. … After Monday, the Zias don’t return to action until Jan. 3 when they host East Central in a Lone Star Conference crossover game at Greyhound Arena.
