Clovis man killed in vehicle rollover
Published: Saturday, November 10th, 2007
A Clovis man died Saturday morning in a vehicle rollover north of Clovis, according to New Mexico State Police.
Steven Spriggs, 49, died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 10:15 a.m., State Police Lt. Rick Anglada said.
The rollover happened near mile post 3 1/2 on state road 275, between Broadview and Wheatland, Anglada said.
Driver inattention was a likely factor in the accident, Anglada said, and overcorrection likely caused Spriggs' 2004 GMC pickup to roll several times.
Spriggs, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.
