Samplings of recent reports filed by Clovis-area law enforcement officers: Around 10 a.m. Nov. 1 an officer responded to a home in the 1000 block of West Street for a criminal damage report. A man told the officer his father, angry about money owed to him, had broken all the windows of his girlfriend’s house. The damages were estimated around $850. • • • About 4 p.m. Nov. 1 an officer responded to a school in the 1500 block of Sycamore Street for a deadly weapon report. A school administrator said a knife was taken from a female student. The girl said it had been given to her by another female student. Warrants are being sought for the students. • • • About 7 p.m. Nov. 1 an officer was called to a store parking lot in the 4000 block of Prince Street for a report of child neglect. A caller said two young boys had been left alone in the car while their mother was in the store for more than 10 minutes. The officer talked to the mother, who said she was only in the store for a minute. She was arrested and a family member was called to take custody of the children. • • • About 4 a.m. Nov. 2 an officer was called to a home in the 500 block of Calhoun to remove a violent subject. A man said the suspect had sprayed a cleaning agent in his face and passed out on his couch. Dispatch told the officer the suspect had been warned by police to stay away from the home twice before. The man was arrested for criminal trespass. • • • Around 9 a.m. Nov. 2 an officer responded to a residence in reference to illegal drugs. A man said he found what he thought to be marijuana in his son’s backpack. The officer tested the green leafy substance and it came up positive for marijuana. The youth was issued a citation.
