Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Around 1:30 p.m. Friday an officer was flagged down by a motorist around Piedmont and Sheffield streets.
A woman said she had found a wallet belonging to a student on the street and wanted to turn it in.
The officer logged the wallet and its contents into evidence.

About 9 p.m. Friday an officer was called to the mall to take a criminal trespass report.
Security personnel told the officer a group of seven juveniles had been asked to leave the mall and had returned several times.
Several stores in the mall had been complaining about the youths acting up and causing a disturbance.
They pointed out two of the youths that were still in the mall.
The officer issued the two citations for criminal trespassing and turned them over to their parents.

Around 10 p.m. Friday an officer was called to the hospital for a report of battery on a health care worker.
A nurse told the officer she had been caring for a 13-year-old girl and the child had bit her on the arm twice when she tried to perform a procedure.
The patient admitted biting the woman.

About midnight Saturday an officer was called to a home in the 1500 block of Kingston Avenue for a report of a suicidal person.
A woman told the officer she and her husband had an argument and he left the house with a shotgun, telling her she wouldn’t have to talk to him anymore.
Officers located the man, who said he was going to a friend’s for the night to let things calm down.
Officers gave the shotgun to his friend for safekeeping and released him.

Around 6:30 p.m. Saturday an officer was called to a home in the 900 block of Sheldon for a battery report.
A 14-year-old girl told the officer another 14-year-old girl had punched her in the face three times.
He spoke to the other teen, who said she hit the girl because she was “talking trash.”
The officer referred the case to juvenile probation and parole.
