Altrusa Members of Altrusa of Clovis met June 11 for their regular monthly program meeting. Hostesses Nancy Taylor, Beverly Fitz and Laurie Montgomery served dinner to 14 members. Following the meal, a short business meeting was conducted. There will be a garage sale June 30. A “coloring book” committee was appointed. Mary Weigl, Kathy Travis and Margaret Blazek were named to the committee. The July backyard party will be July 16 at the home of Mary Knowles. New member initiation was conducted by Carolyn Muffley for Leslie McCloud, Jackie Lara and Gaylynn Smalley. A short orientation was held with each committee chairman describing the purpose of her committee and the work that has been accomplished. The members then stuffed neck pillows for the patients at the cancer center. The next meeting will be a business meeting on June 25 at Muffley’s Back Door.
