Police Blotter
Published: Thursday, June 21st, 2007
Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
About 8 a.m. June 13 an officer responded to the 700 block of Main Street for a report of larceny.
A law enforcement officer told the officer he believed his gas tanks had been tampered with and gas had been stolen out of his personal vehicle and his patrol unit totaling about 11 gallons.
The officer was unable to find any signs of tampering and wrote a report because the officer wanted documentation in case the vehicles showed signs of vandalism later.

About midnight June 14 an officer responded to a report of shots fired in the 800 block of Laurelwood.
The officer found an unoccupied apartment had four broken windows.
Neighbors told them they had heard what sounded like gunshots and a vehicle speeding away.
The windows are valued around $300.

Around 3 p.m. Friday an officer was called to a business in the 300 block of Main for a report of fraud.
The business owner told the officer money orders totaling more than $2,000 had been cashed and later turned out to be counterfeit.

About 6 p.m. Saturday an officer responded to a park in the 300 block of Upsilon for a dispute.
A woman said a man had pinched her daughter in the arm.
The man told the officer his daughter told him the other girl had hit her. He said he told the girl not to hit his daughter again but said he never touched her.
The officer, who noted he could not see any marks, took photos of the child’s arm where she said she was pinched.

Around 7:30 p.m. Sunday an officer responded to the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard for report of an assault.
The officer tried to talk to a woman at the scene about the incident but she kept cursing at the alleged suspect.
He told her to stop yelling curse words but when she continued, he placed her under arrest for disorderly conduct.
