Fireworks donation goal halfway met
Published: Saturday, June 16th, 2007
Donations for the Smoke on the Water Fourth of July fireworks display at Greene Acres Park are more than halfway to the goal, according to the organizers.
Nearly $17,000 has been raised toward the $30,000 goal, according to Tom and Gail Martin, Steve Rooney and Duffy Moon, the event’s organizers.
The annual event is funded solely by donations from area businesses, organizations and individuals.
In celebration of Clovis’ centennial, this year will include dairy boat races, food vendors and entertainment.
Contributions may be sent to Smoke on the Water, Inc., 105 E. Grand Ave., Clovis, NM 88101.
