Christmas trees auctioned for charity
Published: Thursday, December 7th, 2006
Eleven fully decorated Christmas trees are being auctioned off to benefit cancer research.
Bidding for the silent auction, which is being held at the Master’s Centre, 810 E. 21st St., closes at noon today. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event.
The 11 Douglas firs were decorated by city of Clovis employees and feature several themes, including the Dallas Cowboys and fruit. A tree trimmed by the city’s older adults division has handmade crocheted ornaments.
