Pleasant Hill Women’s Club
The Pleasant Hill Women’s Club, traveled to Lubbock for the Dec. 14 meeting to view artifacts of the Titanic, at the Science Spectrum Theatre.
The artifacts were recovered from the ocean floor. As each person entered the exhibit, they were given a replica of an original ticket. On the back was the name of a passenger on the Titanic. The ticket holder became that person for the tour and could look to see if they survived and what they did later in life.
Lueta Clark, president, presided at the meeting with Kaye Barnes who read minutes of the November meeting and gave the financial report. The final plans were made for assembling and delivery of the three Christmas boxes to be given to needy families in the area.
There were seven members and three guests taking the tour, Coellen Hooker, Jo Barnes and Leonard Horton. The January meeting will be a tour of the Matthew 25 Hope Center.
