Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports: About 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22 an officer was called to a home in the 900 block of East 11th Street for a report of a stolen dog. The man said he had put his Yorkshire terrier in the back yard and an hour later she was gone. The officer could not find the dog. There are no suspects. The case is under investigation. Around 8:30 p.m. Dec. 22 an officer was called to a roller skating rink in the 1700 block of Wallace Street for a report of battery. One juvenile admitted to the officer hitting another. The officer issued a citation and released the youth to parents. About 8:30 p.m. Sunday an officer was called to a home in the 800 block of Manana Boulevard for a report of a subject suffering from alcohol poisoning. The officer spoke with the mother of the juvenile who said her son had vomited and had been running around naked. The officer issued the youth a juvenile citation for minor in possession of alcohol. Around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday an office responded to a battery call in the 500 block of Weatherford Street. A woman told police she had gotten into an argument with her live-in boyfriend and he began punching her in the face when she tried to leave the house.
