SHALLOWATER, Texas — Parker Wood collected five hits, including a two-run homer run and two doubles, leading Clovis past Shallowater 7-4, 12-3 Tuesday in a summer baseball doubleheader. Andrew Gilliard added pair of hits for Clovis in the opener. Jonathan Ware, Cade Wheeler and Wood combined to limit Shallowater to five hits. Clovis scored eight runs in the top of the fifth inning in the nightcap before the game was called due to lightning. Wheeler tripled and homered in the nightcap and Omar Sosa added three hits.
