A 63-year-old Kansas City, Mo., man was killed and his wife injured Friday morning in a motorcycle accident about 13 miles east of Fort Sumner, according to a State Police press release. John McQuillen was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release. Judith McQuillen, 62, was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center. The couple was traveling south on N.M. 252 on a 1997 Harley-Davidson he was driving skidded into the dirt right-of-way and overturned 1 1/4 times, according to the accident report.
