Betty Donaghe, 79, of Clovis, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. Born Jan. 26, 1927, in Oswalt, Okla., to Floy and Laura Cross, she had been a lifelong Clovis resident. She cooked at the restaurant in the Mainline Bowl bowling alley for many years. She loved to sew and loved her dogs. She was a member of Prince Street Baptist Church in Clovis. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by a son, Jimmy Donaghe (and wife, Lillian) of Clovis; a grandson, James Floyd Donaghe of San Diego; three granddaughters, Birdina Lavere (Bob), Becky Bird and Alisa Crossen (Russell), all of Clovis, and six great-grandchildren, Bobby, Charles and Katrina Lavere, Mary and Dan Crossen, and Jamie Bird. Rev. Furgus Tunnell will officiate services. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Bob, Bobby and Charles Lavere, Russell Crossen, Ronnie Marez and Reynaldo Romero will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
