Johnson Lewis and Frankie Johnson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their Sunday School class of First Baptist Church in Keller, Texas. Their daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Eddy Wilks, and granddaughter, Dean-na Wilks, hosted the celebration with cake and punch. The Johnsons were married March 3, 1946, in Portales. A 1943 Clovis High School graduate, he has pastored several churches in the Clovis and Portales area. He also taught at Marshall Junior High School. She is a 1943 graduate of Portales High School and worked for a telephone company. The couple resided in Clovis for more than 30 years and now live in Haslet, Texas. Hopingardner Don and Junelle Hopingardner of Clovis will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on March 19 at the Ingram room of the Clovis-Carver Library. The celebration will be hosted by their children and family. The couple were married March 20, 1981, in Clovis. They are the parents of three children and have three grandchilden. He is employed by Cummins Natural Gas Engines, and she is a homemaker.
