Thelma “Maydene” Porter Golden, 68, died Sunday, March 5, 2006, in DeSoto, Texas. She was born Sept. 4, 1937, to Alford P. Porter and Euna Nonnie O’Dell. She married Price Dowell Golden on April 14, 1961, in Rylie, Texas. She was a retired employee of Alcott U.S.A. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Henry C. Porter and Dalton Ray Porter. She is survived by her husband; a son, Dowell Lynn Golden (and wife Stacy); her daughters Cheryl K. Hunt (Trent) and Elizabeth A. Norton (Kenny); a brother, Jesse Porter (Mildred) of Portales; a sister, Carolyn Harris (John) of Muleshoe; sisters-in-law Katherine Porter of Lovington and Marie Porter of Roswell; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Jerry and Carla Golden, Charles and Pat Golden, Carole Golden, and Donny and Nonny Stevall.
