Williams, Venediza “Bennie” “Dee”

Venediza Maria “Bennie” “Dee” Williams, 82, of Clovis, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at her home. She was born July 9, 1923, to Juanita Montoya and Isaac Castillo in Dawson. She married Jerry Williams. She was a motel manager in California and homemaker. Family members said she loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and her cats, and enjoyed crocheting, playing Scrabble and gambling. She was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Charlene Herrera, son Isaac C. DeBaza and granddaughter Doreen Williams.
She is survived by four daughters, Juanita Williams (Albert) of Las Vegas, N.M., Joyce Saquilon ("Lum" William) of Carson, Calif., Sandra Park (Don) of Fullerton, Calif., and Lavon Bonte (Robert) of Cerritos, Calif.; three sons, Glenn and Lee Garcia of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Gerald Williams of Clovis; four sisters, Emily Anderson and Isabel Lopez of Denver, Corinne Netherland (John) of Aurora, Colo., and Margaret Martinez of Mora; daughter-in-law Jackie C. DeBaza of Tor C; 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Deacon Daniel Chavez will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Mora at a later date.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home.
