Lawanna Stroud Services: Have been held. Lawanna Stroud, 63, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, in Muleshoe. She was born on Nov. 28, 1941, in Muleshoe. She was a lifelong resident of Muleshoe. She married Ray Stroud in Muleshoe on March 31, 1979, and worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the Richland Hills Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Calvin Ray and Silas D. Stroud, both of Clovis, and Frank Stroud of Portales; four daughters, Gladys Hendrich of Fort Worth, Texas, Glenda Hyatt of Portales, Joyce Crooks of Lubbock, and Carolyn Van Wettering of Portales; a sister, Brenda Marie Hill of Snyder, Texas; two nephews, Chris Lee of Snyder, Texas and Brandon Lee of Amarillo; 25 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Rd., Lubbock, TX 79424. The Rev. Bennie Wright of Muleshoe will officiate the services. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe.
