Mrs. Lola Elizabeth Hoskins, 90, of Clovis, died Jan. 19, 2005, at Laurel Ridge Healthcare in Clovis.
She was born on July 8, 1914, in Ceevee, Texas, to Clarence and Bertha Treece.
She moved to Melrose in the 1940s. She married Woodrow Hoskins in 1976 in Clovis. She worked as a cook for the Melrose schools. Family members said she was a loving, caring person and who loved to cook. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Kenneth Lansford; two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include her husband; six sons, Dalton Lansford (and wife, Bonnie) of Gresham, Ore., Joe Lansford of Hatch, Lloyd Lansford of Melrose, Leon Lansford (Pat) of Roswell, Treece Lansford (Karen) of Phoenix and Darrell Lansford (Claudette) of Texoma, Okla.; three daughters, Wanda Kuykendall (Sid) of San Angelo, Texas, Janice Clark (Ray) of Laughlin, Nev. and Lenora Roozemond (Henry) of Melrose; four step-daughters, Lola Simpson (Bill) of Clarkesville, Texas, Wilma Hazelwood of Hobbs, Susie Dale of Farwell and Mary Ann Gass of Abilene, Texas; two sisters, Jenny Carlyle (Fred) of Lake Dallas, Texas, and Mary Crowley of Tucson, Ariz.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her nephew, Bobby Bruce, will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Melrose Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Mexico Boy’s and Girl’s ranches.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
